Susan from Weybridge

We had a terrific weekend in York!

The oven size was just fine. I had no problems with my 6 kg. turkey. The kitchen was very well equipped.

We appreciated the tea, coffee, biscuits, wine and milk on arrival. And the toilet paper! You never know when you rent a house what is--or isn't--going to be there already!

Thanks again to the owners for renting out their cozy home.

Phil & Linda, Rick & Julie & Clare from Cambridge

After we left in the rain on Sunday morning, we realised that we hadn't filled in the guest book so we felt we just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our four day break in York at 11 William Court.

Although the website did give an accurate impression of what was offered, the property way exceeded our expectations.

It's quiet situation by the river, the short, pleasant walk into town along the river, the fact that the car stood on the drive for the whole duration of our stay other than a trip to the supermarket, the well appointed, clean, modern facilities, the lovely welcome pack (which was very welcome - thank you) all made our stay totally successful.

York was so busy on the weekend, and we enjoyed the house so much that, bearing in mind the weather was so awful, we decided to have a cook-in instead of going out on our final night - we cooked an enormous rib of beef that we bought on the farmers' market - it was brilliant!

We certainly won't hesitate recommending you to all our friends, and we may well be back in the not too distant future.

Thanks again

We stayed at William Court in May09 and have had a fabulous week away.
Having been to York before, but not to William Court, we already knew what a great location the house was in, and it didn't let us down.

Middle of town was a 5 min walk along the river.

The house catered for every need we had, which with 2 children under the age of 3, was impressive. Stair gates, travel cot, games rooms, books, toys and even a pushchair provided as standard!

The standard of accommodation was brilliant and all 4 of us had a great time.

The house views over the river are wonderful and give a great opportunity to people watch.

The only thing which marred our visit slightly was the somewhat unpredictable weather, but with Magna and The Deep only 1hr away, that made for 2 great indoor weather days out, and to be fair - its hardly the "house's" fault that it rained a few days.

Great stay, very highly recommended, especially with children.
